Joel is a well known actor from the small screen, a former Graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University and Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, Joel is best known for playing the role of Jake Moon in EastEnders from 2004-2006.
He is also remembered for playing the character of Lee, Dawn’s fiancée, in the multi-award winning comedy classic The Office, which starred and was co-written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
His film roles include, Green Street, The Big I am and he will be starring in the French World War Two film Grace and Danger, which starts filming next year.
Other TV credits include He Kills Coppers, Heartbeat, Holby City, Casualty, The Bill, and the global TV hit Band of Brothers, which was directed by Tom Hanks and produced by the hugely-successful HBO TV company.
When Joel is not busy acting, he can be found in a voice-over studio recording TV commercials, documentaries and promos as well as character animations and video games.
Joel runs his own production company Twisted Productions and has acted in, written and produced his own films, including a multi-award winning short shot in 48 hours, called Piccadilly High Noon.
He is also currently involved with a BBC2 adaptation telling the story of a friend’s experiences in a Russian prison camp called Zone 22.
